Maybe some of you remember my statement that I quit playing tennis, if I don’t make it into the Top 50 within two years. But that plan did neither include a cruciate ligament rupture, nor a break of eight months due to that injury. So I decided to study political science at the Distance University of Hagen.
Why political science? As you can read here, I am very into politics. So it was obvious to take that field of study. And it was the right decision. Even though I am sitting in the corner learning between practice-sessions and throughout a tournament while the others are enjoying their time off, I don’t consider it as a burden. It is rather another aspect in my life that helps me to develop – maybe not as a tennis-play, but in my personality.
